Welcome to Animal Tales, the blog linky that brings together all sorts of animal blog posts from all over the world. It runs from Tuesday morning thought to Friday night and showcases a wide range of animal related posts.
First an apology to my rather lax approach to commenting etc on posts from last week - a few other things rather got in the way last week one of which resulted in me designing and promoting a survey. It has nothing to do with animals but if you if you go on self catering holidays could you possibly click on the link here to the survey and answer some questions on how you book a self catering holiday. Some people have apparently found the third question a bit confusing but please tick what you think is right. Many many thanks.
Right back to animals - I can report that Hilda the duck is well and truly sat on her clutch of 8 eggs and our third duck Hettie is also laying. Whether she will sit is in question though, as I had to separate her from Hilda, who wanted to be alone, and she is currently in with the chickens with her ever growing clutch of eggs in a hen nesting box. We shall have to wait and see.

Still on birds, three birdy posts caught my eye from the linky last week. The Early Birder's photos of lapwing were just stunning, Purfylle brought to our attention the Black Cockatoo which is as rare as the Black Rhino but gets no where near the same publicity and Debbie in Greece was able to report that the swallows are back. I have yet to see any here despite looking up to the skies when ever possible. Have you seen any swallows yet this year?
Feel free to come and add your animal related posts to the linky below. The posts can be old or new and as varied as the animals who we share our world with. There's a Pinterest Board with pictures from all the linked blogs which you can see here and if you tweet with the hashtag #AnimalTales I'll retweet you. Just give me a nudge if I appear to have forgotten you.
Full details of the linky can be found here and once again can I remind people to comment on a few of the others who link up. It's only polite and keeps the thing working!
