A true rarity ! A Psych/Funk/Prog oddity with some sung part in latin that Vladimir Cosma made as a soundtrack for a theater play.
'Here is a very rare record. Released on CBS and nevertheless ultra scarse press (under 1000 copies), this Lp still remains totally unknown to collectors. Not really a soundtrack but an album made for a music scenes of french Ballet called "Volpone" for the Comedie Française. Fantastic psych prog with touch of jazz, superb female vocal tracks. Recommanded tracks : the mediaval jazz fusion "Crime et chatoiement". And the excellent funky prog "Masquarade Diabolique". Near impossible to find LP …'
'All over the damn place, but extremely compelling. A good chunk of this sounds like The Grand Wazoo when it doesn't sound like Uncle Meat when it doesn't sound like a sleazy detective show soundtrack when it doesn't sound like wood elves with flutes prancing about the magical forest. The eight minute opener plays out like a 20 minute prog piece, stuffed full of different movements, motifs and ideas. Oh, and sitars. Way worth finding.' -thrasher2809
