I mentioned in yesterday's post about photographing Central Park and the Rideau Canal at different points for contrast. First, I took these shots looking west and east, a day or two after yesterday's post, in March.
By contrast, these are the views west and east, early this week.
This is the Rideau Canal, looking east, photographed on the same day as the first shots of Central Park, followed by one several days later, and the third also on this past Monday. While the most recent shots of the park and the Canal may look more springlike, the temperatures were below freezing that day.
The final pic, by contrast, was taken on Wednesday. To quote my Dutch great-grandfather, "...does the winter ever end in this country?"
